Eleanor Jayne

BSc MArch ARB NZRAB

With over 15 years of industry experience, Eleanor brings depth, precision, and a considered design approach to every project. She studied, qualified, and practised in the United Kingdom, where she developed particular expertise in contemporary additions to heritage buildings — carefully balancing innovation with respect for historic fabric and context.

Now based in New Zealand, Eleanor has spent the past six years working across a diverse range of sectors, broadening her understanding of place, culture, and construction. Working primarily in the residential sector at Warren and Mahoney. Her experience spans high-end bespoke single dwellings through to large-scale mixed-use and multi-residential developments.

Undertaking smaller residential projects through her personal practice enables her to continually refine her own design language whilst also focusing on aspects of the design process that are important to her, building meaningful client relationships, exploring the client brief to ensure the best outcome and finding innovative design solutions when restricted budgets and constraints come into play.

Eleanor’s work is defined by thoughtful design, technical rigour, and a collaborative approach — creating architecture that is both enduring and deeply responsive to its environment.

Let’s create something meaningful together.

Eleanor was great to work with. From the beginning she listened to our ideas, and added flair through her own suggestions and showed sensitivity to site specific features to produce a well thought out and ascetically appealing design. I have no hesitation in recommending her. Lindsay Tamblyn - Tamblyn House 2025
